News, Media(s) and the Shaping of Mathematics Education

The following is our response to and critical reading of the papers in this issue. We displace our genre away from an academic style to highlight the criss-crossing of arguments and insights offered by the research presented in this issue. It is our intention to make the readers wonder about the relationship between media(s) and mathematics education as part of the cultural politics of what counts as mathematics education, and who and how mathematics education is being governed.
