Plenary Opening Session
On the occasion of the 40th International Vienna Motor Symposium from May 15 to 17, 2019, more than 1000 managers, engineers and scientists from engine and powertrain development as well as representatives of committees and associations from all over the world met at the Hofburg in Vienna. The Symposium, jointly organized by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bernhard Geringer, President of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK) as well as Director of the Institute for Powertrains and Automotive Technology of Technische Universität Wien, and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hans Peter Lenz, Honorary President of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers, has developed into one of the world's most important congresses of its kind.
