Cologne / CIMAC Circle at POWER-GEN Europe

Responding to new opportunities for piston engines, CIMAC will again hold a Circle during a power generation trade show: Power-Gen Europe at the Koelnmesse exhibition centre, Cologne, Germany, 3rd to 5thJune 2014.

Under the title: “Powering the Grid 24/7: Transitioning energy supply with reciprocating engines” the Power-Gen Circle will take place from 11:00 to 12:30 on 3rd June 2014 — the first day of the show, as part of the customary, extensive Power-Gen conference programme.

It will be staged in co-operation with show organiser PennWell and will, as usual, consist of scene-setting presentations from an expert panel, followed by a podium discussion with audience participation.

The title of the Circle aims to provoke a discussion on how to balance reactive power in Europe with reciprocating engine technologies and illustrate the role of diesel and gas engines can play as decentralised back-up for solar and wind power generation.
