An event is serious (based on the ICH definition) when the patient outcome is:
* congenital anomaly
* other medically important event
A 31-year-old woman developed fatal multiple intraventricular haemorrhages, recurrent internal carotid artery aneurysm and it's rupture, subarachnoid haemorrhage, posterior cerebral artery and basilar artery aneurysms following treatment with ranimustine, vincristine and temozolomide [routes and frequencies not stated] for malignant anaplastic astrocytoma.
The woman with low grade glioma had undergone a surgical resection and received post-operative radiotherapy. The right carotid artery near the orifice of the posterior communicating artery was injured during the resection and was repaired using an encircling clip. Four years later, the tumour recurred at the same site and she received gamma knife surgery and treatment with ranimustine 100mg and vincristine 1mg. Seven years...
