An event is serious (based on the ICH definition) when the patient outcome is:

* other medically important event
In a case report, two women were described [exact ages at the time of reactions onsets not stated], who developed atypical incomplete femoral neck fracture during treatment with risedronic acid for osteoporosis [routes, dosages and duration of treatments to reactions onset not stated].
Case 1: A woman, aged 68 years, was hospitalised with a 3-day history of right hip pain. She had no history of trauma. Four years prior, she had underwent bipolar hemiarthroplasty due to a left femoral neck fracture. During current admission, X-ray showed a linear fracture of the lateral side of the right femoral neckwith a Pauwel angle of approximately 63.6°.
