Dynamics of Amino Acid Profile of Musca domestica Larva During Cultivation on Substrate Enriched with Microelements

Advantage in the application of insects as a source of valuable protein relates to obtaining the biologically active substances and environment conservation. Therefore, the subject of the optimal utilization and cultivation of insects is on the interest currently, and the work deals with the investigation of Musca domestica larva cultivation on different substrates with the goal to obtain highly digestible protein with value addition. The optimal concentration of selenium and cobalt in obtaining the biomass of larva with improved amino acid (AA) composition was studied. AA profiles of larva during cultivation on different substrates were investigated within 48, 72 and 96 h using the system using the system of capillary electrophoresis. Kjeldahl analysis was used to determine the crude protein content of larva depending on the concentration of microelements in the substrate. The study indicates that concentration of crude protein, weight and AAs of maggot meal depends on the concentration and combination of selenium and cobalt in the substrate for cultivation. The maximum concentration of crude protein was found to be maximum after the cultivation within 72 h in the substrate enriched with Se and Co (15 mg/kg). However, the less effective but still positive effect was obtained in a cultivation media with 5 mg/kg of Se and Co after 72 h. The most significant effect in the improvement of AA profile of larva was observed at the concentrations of Se + Co 15 mg/kg in cultivation substrate.
