Consistent Finishes with Powder Coatings and Paints

A textile machinery manufacturer uses both powder coatings and paints on the components of its machines. There is no visible difference between the two types of coating, which both provide a high level of corrosion protection and effective resistance to heat and chemicals.
The German textile machinery manufacturer Brückner commissioned the Fraunhofer IPA (Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation) in Stuttgart to design a new paint shop which would allow it to increase its manufacturing capacity and speed up its production processes. However, the institute recommended using powder coatings on the machine components instead, because they would meet the very high standards of corrosion protection and resistance to chemicals that the company required.
