Study of Elastic Hadron Scattering on Nuclei Depending on the Impact Parameter

The elastic proton scattering cross section depending on the impact parameter b is discussed. Using the Gaussian quasipotential in the diffraction approximation and conclusions following from analyticity and unitarity of the scattering amplitude, the equation for the matrix of the scattering amplitude and the formula for the scattering cross section have been obtained. A relationship between analytical properties of the scattering amplitude characterizing momentum transfer and of the impact parameter is studied. The ratio of the real component of the forward scattering amplitude to its imaginary component is also discussed as a function of the momentum t.
