Design, conventional and microwave irradiated synthesis and characterization of some novel Mannich bases containing imidazole[2,1-b]-1,3,4-oxadiazole core

A new series of Mannich base containing imidazole derivatives were synthesized under a fast and efficient method: microwave irradiation. The Mannich bases were obtained in good yields by using a microwave method. In this paper, a comparative study between the microwave method and the conventional method was discussed. The microwave method had higher yield and shorter reaction time. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by IR and 1H NMR.
