The Second International Conference on Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry (RANC-2019) was held in Budapest, Hungary May 5–10, 2019. When we launched this new series of conference in 2016, our goal was to assemble colleagues from all over the world dealing with radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry and related fields so that authors and reviewers who know each others’ names from manuscripts could meet in person, and old colleagues and friends who have been collaborating for years could reunite. The success of the new series pleasantly surprised all of us. There seems to be a need for such a large conference, and RANC has become a new brand, as we could proudly conclude.

This time we dedicated the conference to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic Table and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry.

We had 312 participants from 41 countries, a little less than last time. There were 11 plenary lectures, 42 invited...
