Synthesis of YAG:Er Powders for Obtaining Optically Transparent Ceramic by the Glycine-Nitrate Method

The results of the synthesis of erbium-doped yttrium-aluminum-garnet nanopowders for obtaining optically transparent ceramic are discussed. The influence of the synthesis conditions on the characteristics of (Y0.5Er0.5) 3Al5O12 powders and the subsequent mechanical working of the powders on the properties of the obtained ceramic was investigated.
