How and why mathematics teachers transform curriculum resources in their classroom practice is a central issue for mathematics education research. The book Curricular resources and classroom use addresses this important issue. More precisely, this book offers the theoretical and methodological equipment to the reader who wants (1) to compare an actual lesson and a curriculum resource used to design and implement this teaching, and (2) to search for some causes of possible discrepancies between the initial resource and its implementation. The book offers a very clear and didactical presentation which could be the text of a masters or doctoral lecture. It comprises eight chapters, which I interpreted as forming four main parts. I present below my reading and interpretation of this book, organized according to these four parts. I then give my overall impression of the book: how it contributes to field, which issues are “missing” in it, or at least which could usefully complement it.
