Early onset neonatal infection with Neisseria meningitidis serogroup C: case report and literature review

Abstract

Although Neisseria meningitidis is one of the major causes of meningitis in children and adolescents, meningococcal disease should also be considered as part of the differential diagnoses in the newborn period.
