Dear Readers, Anatomists and Clinicians,

2018 is now over, Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy became 40 year-old, and it has been a very rich year for our journal. The amount of submissions led to the possibility to build some thematic issues about lymphatics, brain, face, hand, head and neck surgery, arteries, plastic surgery. These associations of articles could support the importance of clinical and applied anatomy in different fields, through morphological and technical aspects related to imaging depiction. We aim to warmly thank all the authors who submitted their studies for publication, the complete editorial board and all the reviewers who contributed to constantly maintain a very interesting level in researching and publishing about anatomical sciences.

We shall continue with the first issue in 2019, which groups several articles about the clinical anatomy and imaging of the foot and lower limb.

2019 is going to be an especially important year through the Congress Anatomia Clinica, held in Madrid, Spain, in June 24th–26th, ( that will be the joint meeting of the European Association for Clinical Anatomy and the International Symposium of Clinical and Applied Anatomy. The invited societies will be the Japanese Research Society of Clinical Anatomy (JRSCA), the Mexican Anatomical Society (SMA) and the Spanish Anatomical Society (SAE). We are confident that such a large panel of scientific contributors will warrant a great meeting, and Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy will be the official organ for publishing the abstracts and lectures summaries.

We wish you a very Happy New Year 2019!
