Extra-pharyngeal presentation of nasopharyngeal angiofibroma

Abstract

Extra-pharyngeal extensions (E.P.E.) of Juvenile Naso pharyngeal angio fibroma are rare, but not uncommon. These extensions are responsible for troublesome haemorrhage at operation and recurrence after operative removal. 10 year study of Nasopharyngeal angio-fibrorna have been made and incidence of various extra-pharyngeal extensions are reported. Cheek extension have been found to be the commonest extra-pharyngeal presentation. The various clinical features, diagnosis, routes of extension and management are discussed with reference to past reports.
