New devices for millimeter-wave applications

Nouveaux composants microondes pour le domaine millimÉtrique

Abstract

The possibilities for future developments of mm-wave devices are reviewed. New concepts and extensions of presently available devices are considered concerning sources, amplifiers and mixing. We discussed such ideas as micro-cavity triodes unbedded in the semiconductor chip with first experimental evidence available.

Résumé

Les possibilités de nouveaux composants pour le domaine millimétrique sont discutées. Des nouveaux concepts etpossibilités d’extension aux sources, amplificateurs et mélangeurs sont considérés. Un exemplefuturiste est la triode aux dimensions nanométriques insérée dans des plaquettes à semi-conductrices.
