Poor high frequency results following total stapedectomy—Theoretical considerations

Abstract

Theoretical considerations behind the lack of satisfactory improvement at high frequency of 4000 Hz, 6000 Hz and 8000 Hz are discussed. A small fenestra and a correct fitting prosthesis seems to be giving better high frequency results.
