Les endoscopies combinées : explorations “tête et queue”

“Top and tail” or “respiratory and digestive tract” The endoscopic double investigation

  • 2 Accesses

Summary

The authors describe indications and performance of 43 endoscopic double and one triple investigations on 41 patients. These are defined as different types of fiberoptic endoscopies like gastroduodenoscopy plus fiberbronchoscopy or coloileoscopy plus gastroduodenoscopy performed consecutively on the same premedication. Such probably widely practiced though rarely published procedures allow a very efficient diagnostic evaluation of clinical problems involving several segments of the digestive tract or digestive and respiratory systems simultaneously, and they must not necessarily be confined to urgent clinical situations.
