Summary
Analyzing in detail the process e+e-→μ+μ-H 0k (k=2, Deg, Z′), that is the production of the scalar Higgs bosons H 02 , H 0Deg , H 0Z′ of the simplestE 6-based gauge theory, one infers that, even with high luminosity,a) there is no hope of finding H 0Z′ , even at LEP II;b) there is a very little chance of finding H 0Deg , at LEP II, provided thatMH 0Deg ≲100 GeV and that finely tuned mass values are realized;c) H 02 is observable at LEP I and SLC forMH 02 ≲60 GeV and at the LEP II up to 110 GeV. We evaluate the experimental bounds on the masses of the new vector boson Z′ and of the pseudoscalar Higgs boson H 03 , which together with theoretical bounds can provide information on the structure of theE 6 Higgs sector.
