Chemical analysis of mineral aggregates for concretes

Abstract

A review of standardized methods of chemical analysis of mineral aggregates for concretes is presented. Since sample preparation and testing in the standardized methods, based on gravimetric quantitative analysis, is very time consuming, a faster turbidimetric method of testing for water soluble sulphates is suggested.

Analyse chimique des granulats pour beton

Résumé

Une revue des méthodes standardisées des analyses chimiques des granulats pour béton est présentée. Les méthodes standardisées sont fondées sur les analyses quantitatives gravimétriques. La préparation des essais et leur réalisation durent longtemps. Une méthode turbidimétrique plus rapide de dosage des sulfates solubles dans l'eau est proposée.
