External quality control in clinical chemistry in The Netherlands

Abstract

A description is presented of the national external quality control scheme for clinical chemistry laboratories in The Netherlands. The signification of the overall mean as a reference-point is discussed. A short remark is made on the standardisation of results in enzyme analysis.
