Abstract

In a previous paper a new drug transport model was described. By comparing this three-step model with models from the literature, the general validity is confirmed.

It is also shown that the rate constants for membrane transfer of a series of drugs are correlated with the corresponding partition coefficients of the drugs by a bilinear function. In the same way it can now be understood that experimentally parabolic as well as bilinearQsar equations are found in literature.
