Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The thermochemical characteristics of triphenylcarbinol were determined; the energy of the C -O bond in this compound is equal to 67.0 ± 4.3 cal/mole.

  2. 2.

    The energy of the C -O bond is a linear function of the energy of stabilization of the carbon-containing radical.
