    In the reaction of trimethylsiloxytrichlorotitanium with butyl alcohol there is an exchange reaction of replacement of the trimethylsiloxy group by the butoxy group.

    The reaction of trimethylsiloxytrichlorotitanium with diphenylmethylhydroxysilane leads not to trimethylsiloxytri-(diphenylmethylsiloxy) titanium, but to tetrakis-(diphenylmetb.ylsiloxy)titanium.
