    The phase diagram of the binary system Gd2O3-SiO2 was studied and constructed.

  2. 2.

    Compounds of the types oxyorthosilicate (Gd2[SiO4), orthosilicate (Gd4SiO4]3), and pyrosilicate (Gd2Si2O7) were synthesized. The properties of these compounds were studied.

  3. 3.

    The limits of the eliquation zone were established and its upper crystalline point was determined.
