Summary

  1. 1.

    A study has been made of the infrared spectra of cyclic organosilazanes and it has been found that the vibrations of the Si -N -Si bond in octamethylcyclotetrasilazane come at 939 and 1183 cm−1.

  2. 2.

    The absorption bands of the Si -N -Si bond in octamethylcyclotetrasilazanes are somewhat displaced with respect to those of hexamethylcyclotrisilazanes.
