By means of exact integration, the energy and quasimomentum dependence of the real part of the exciton Green's function mass operator ReM(2) (k,ω) is derived for the first time. Using the analytical form of ReM(2) (k,ω), the renormalization of the exciton effective mass by polarizing lattice vibrations and the threshold value of the quasimomentum of a photon emitting exciton are derived.
