Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The following impurities were identified in bis-ethylbenzenechromium produced according to the Friedel-Crafts reaction: benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-ethyltoluene, o-diethylbenzene, triethylbenzene, dibenzenechromium, ditoluenechromium, benzeneethylbenzenechromium, ethylbenzene-o-diethylbenzene-chromium, bis-diethylbenzenechromium, and bis-triethylbenzenechromium.

  2. 2.

    A procedure of gas chromatographic analysis of bis-ethylbenzenechromium was developed. The sensitivity of the analysis is 1·10−2-5·10−3 mole %.
