Synthesis of some 16,18-dimethyl-D-homosteroids


A series of 16,16-dimethyl derivatives of D-homoestrone and D-homotestosterone has been obtained from 1-vinyltetralin-1,6-diol (I), 1-vinyl-6-methoxytetral-1-ol (II), and 2,5,5-trimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione (III).
