Types of fracture of adhesive joints made with polymers

Abstract

Modern concepts of the fracture of adhesive joints made with polymers are critically analyzed. The results of experiments carried out by new research techniques are used to show that fracture of joints of this kind may be cohesive, adhesive (interfacial), or compound in character.
