IR and mass spectrometric investigation of phenyltrichloromethylmercury

    The IR spectra of C6H5HgCCl3, (C6H5)2Hg and C6H5HgCl, were studied, and a partial assignment of the frequencies to the normal vibrations of the phenyltrichloromethylmercury molecule was performed.

  2. 2.

    The characteristic frequencies in the IR spectrum and the peaks in the mass spectra were discovered, permitting the identification of C6H5HgCCl3 and possible impurities-(C6H5)2Hg and C6H5HgCl.
