Iron tricarbonyl complexes of hydroxypolymethylbenzolonium ions

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The iron tricarbonyl complexes of the 3,4,6,6-tetramethyl-, 2,3,4,5,6,6-hexamethyl-, 3-(trideuteromethyl)-2,4,5,6,6-pentamethyl-, and 5-(trideuteromethyl)-2,3,4,6,6-pentamethylcyclohexadienones were obtained by reacting the corresponding cyclohexadienones with iron pentacarbonyl.

  2. 2.

The protonation of these complexes leads to the iron tricarbonyl complexes of the corresponding hydroxybenzolonium ions.
