Application of the dislocation theory of fracture to polymeric materials

Abstract

The macrocharacteristics of the mechanical strength of crystalline polymers are estimated on the basis of the dislocation theory of fracture. The values obtained for the breaking and safe stresses and the necking stress are in good agreement with the experimental results.
