Determination of the solidus line of solid solutions of ice and NH4F by directed crystallization

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    An apparatus for conducting horizontal directed crystallization was described.

  2. 2.

    At a rate of crystallization less than (or equal to) 0.12 cm/h in the directed crystallization of aquous solutions of NH4F, a region of equilibrium crystallization is reached.

  3. 3.

    The dependence of the equilibrium distribution coefficient of NH4F between solid solution of ice-NH4F and aqueous solutions of NH4F on the concentration of the latter was studied.
