Conclusions

  1. 1.

    In the case of the modification of Ni-black with the lead cation, as well as that of Ni-catalysts on carriers, the direction of the addition of H2 to a dienone is changed; the basic product of hydrogenation is 5-hepten-2-one.

  2. 2.

    It was established by the method of deuteroexchange that on Ni-black modified with firmly adsorbed Pb, saturation of the 3,4-double bond occurs not only by the direct addition of H2 to the C=C bond, but also by 1,4-addition to the C=C-C=0 group of the dienone.
