Investigation of the dielectric properties of water adsorbed by zeolites Communication 2. Low-temperature relaxation in the system of NaA zeolite crystals with water at low degrees of coverage

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The dielectric behavior of crystals of NaA zeolite was investigated at low degrees of coverage by water at the frequencies 105–107 Hz within the temperature interval 90–250°K.

  2. 2.

    Two relaxation processes were detected. One of them corresponds to relaxers existing in dehydrated zeolite, and is suppressed with increasing content of adsorbed water. The other process is evidently related to the relaxation of the adsorbed water molecules themselves.

  3. 3.

    An attempt was made on the basis of the dielectric measurements to estimate the number of the most active centers in the zeolite.
