Wear resistance of titanium alloys after thermodiffusional chromosiliciding

Abstract

The article describes a new chemicothermal treatment for titanium alloys, which consists in thermodiffusional chromosiliciding in vacuum. Results of wear tests on titanium alloys subjected to this treatment and data on the effect of the treatment conditions on the wear resistance of these alloys are presented.
