Use of section model of plate for calculating rectification of multicomponent mixtures

    Equations have been proposed for calculating the rectification process of multicomponent mixtures for columns with actual plates (considering the plate efficiency) with sectioning of the liquid stream.

  2. 2.

    A description has been given of the block diagram of the program for computer calculation of multicomponent rectification using the equations obtained.

  3. 3.

    It has been shown that a good agreement between the calculated and experimental component-concentration distributions along apparatus height can be obtained by assuming identical values of the local efficiency (number of transfer units) for all mixture-components within the limits of individual portions or along the entire column.
