Solubility of oil fractions in nitro and chlornitro derivatives of low-molecular-weight alkanes

  • 12 Accesses

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The solubility of oil fractions from sulfurons petroleum was studied in nitroethane, a mixture of nitroethane with nitropropane, and in chlornitroethane. A comparative evaluation was made of the dissolving capacity and selectivity of the nitro-and chlornitroalkanes.

  2. 2.

It was shown that the given solvents are much better than furfural in their dissolving capacity and have the following order with respect to an increase in this property: nitroethane-chlornitroethane-nitroparaffin mixture. They are almost as good as the furfural with respect to their selectivity for the group components of the oil raw material and they fall into the following order: chlornitroethane > nitroethane > nitroparaffin mixture.

In their selectivity in separating the aromatic part of the oil raw material the given solvents have the following order: nitroethane > chlornitroethane > nitroparaffin mixture, in which case the nitroparaffin mixture and the chlornitroethane are noticeably less effective than furfural in this type of selectivity.
