A case of infantile Jakob-Creutzfeldt disease

Summary

The case of a 2 year old child exhibiting mental and physical retardation accompanied by convulsions and frequent, long periods of deep coma, is described. The pathological changes were limited to the cortex and were similar to those in adult cases ofJakob-Creutzfeldt disease.

Bericht über einen 2 Jahre alten Knaben mit psychischer und physischer Retardation, Krämpfen und häufigen, langdauernden Komazuständen. Die pathologischen Veränderungen beschränken sich auf das Gehirn und ähneln denen von Erwachsenen-Fällen der Jakob-Creutzfeldtschen Krankheit.
