Determination of trace elements in whole blood by photon-induced X-ray fluorescence


Photon-induced X-ray fluorescence is used to determine elements in human whole blood samples. The method is reliable and has a good sensitivity for a wide range of elements. The simplicity of the technique and the associated instruments makes the method suitable for use in hospitals.
