Temperature effects and fatty acid patterns in Geomyces species isolated from Antarctic soil

Summary

Geomyces and Chrysosporium species isolated from Antarctica were compared with a strain isolated from Italian soil. The Italian and Antarctic strains had different growth rates and membrane fatty acids at different temperatures.
