Fibroblast and epidermal growth factors: their uses in vivo and in vitro in studies on cell functions and cell transplantation

Summary

The events which led to the isolation of the fibroblast growth factor are described. Its impact on the development of new cell models which have been used for studies as diverse as the control of cell proliferation, cell differentiation, and cell transplantation have been reviewed.
