Zusammenfassung
Soziale Online-Netzwerke wie Facebook sind vor allem bei jungen Menschen zentraler Bestandteil des Alltags. Die spezifischen Eigenschaften dieser Angebote wie die Möglichkeit für jeden Einzelnen, eigene Inhalte der Öffentlichkeit zu präsentieren und mit anderen Nutzerinnen und Nutzern sowie professionellen Akteuren zu interagieren, eröffnen eine Reihe von Fragestellungen für die Gesundheitskommunikation. Inwieweit diese Zielgruppe auf den Plattformen über Gesundheit kommuniziert, aber auch andere Segmente (Patientinnen und Patienten oder Organisationen) soziale Online-Netzwerke im Gesundheitsbereich nutzen, wird im Folgenden beschrieben. Potenziale und Herausforderungen für Gesundheitskommunikation in SNS werden aufgegriffen.
