is a professor of psychology and the director of the Experimenal Psychology Ph.D. program at Idaho State University. She is a personality and social psychologist who conducts research that focuses on the accuracy of judging the personality of others.
Early Life and Educational Background
Letzring was born on April 30, 1977, in Portland, Oregon. From an early age, she wanted to be a teacher. A psychology class in high school sparked an interest, and a career path of teaching psychology became clear to her. Letzring graduated with a B.A. in psychology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, in 1999, where she conducted an independent research project with Dr. Carolyn Weisz. After graduating from college, she spent a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, during which she worked with children with developmental disabilities at Respite Care of San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas.
