Educational Background
Dr. Leising studied Psychology at the University of Marburg, obtaining his degree in 1998. Afterward, he entered a graduate program on “clinical emotions research” in Heidelberg that was funded by the German research foundation. Working with Prof. Gerd Rudolf, Prof. Rainer Krause, and Dr. Tilman Grande, he completed his Ph.D. in 2003. In his Ph.D. research, he investigated “changes of interpersonal-affective schemas in the course of long-term psychoanalytic treatment,” using interview material and data from the Heidelberg-Berlin study.
Professional Career
After finishing his Ph.D., Dr. Leising went on to work as a postdoc at the University of Würzburg until early 2006. He then accepted an invitation by Prof. Len M. Horowitz to go to Stanford University for 1 year as a visiting scholar. Afterward, Dr. Leising accepted an offer of a postdoc position at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, working with Prof. Peter Borkenau. He was appointed as a full professor at TU...
