Michael Lewis is a faculty member at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. A pioneer in the field of child development, Michael Lewis helped launch the scientific exploration of emotional development reshaping how we think about personality and individual differences. He has spent his 50-year career investigating variance across populations, and his model of a dynamic “self” developing in concert with its environment sheds light on the origins of individual differences. Through 37 books and over 450 professional publications, Lewis’s work creates a narrative that reveals the profound impact that emotional development has on our personalities and lives.
