Early Life and Educational Background
Wright was born on August 12, 1980, in El Paso, Texas. He earned a B.A. in psychology from Penn State University in 2003 and an M.S. in experimental psychology from Villanova University in 2006. He returned to Penn State University for a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, studying under Aaron L. Pincus and graduating in 2012 after completing a clinical internship at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Professional Career
Upon completion of his doctoral, Wright continued on as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, working with Paul A. Pilkonis, before transitioning to a National Institute of Mental Health-funded individual postdoctoral fellowship sponsored by Leonard J.
