Katharine H. Greenaway is a social psychologist with expertise in personal control, emotional regulation, and social group processes. She is a research fellow funded by the Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Award Scheme (2016–2019) at the University of Queensland, in Brisbane, Australia.

Educational Background

Greenaway completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honors) in 2007 and Ph.D. in 2012, both at the University of Queensland. Her primary Ph.D. advisor was Winnifred Louis, an expert in group processes and normative influence.

Professional Career

After finishing her Ph.D., Greenaway was awarded a research fellowship from the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research under the Global Scholar program from 2012 to 2014. Greenaway then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship with Alexander Haslam, a leading researcher of social identity, from 2014 to 2016.
