Few-Body Systems - Few-Body Systems Award 2022 for young professionals

The European Research Committee on Few Body Problems in Physics and Few-Body Systems jointly present the winners of the Few-Body Systems Award for young professionals of 2022:
•             Experiment:
Dr Meytal Duer, Technischen Universität Darmstadt, Germany
"For her leadership in the analysis of a knockout reaction at large momentum transfer with a high-energy 8He beam resulting in the remarkable discovery of a low-energy resonance-like structure in the four-neutron energy distribution."

•             Theory:
Dr Bijaya Acharya, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA
"For key studies of electroweak properties of few-body systems in chiral, pionless, and halo effective field theories, and for the uncertainty quantification of processes relevant to astrophysics"

And

Dr Khepani Raya, University of Huelva, Spain
"For major contributions to understanding the structure of  pseudoscalar mesons and their role in revealing the mechanisms that underlie the emergence of hadron mass in the Standard Model"

The Awards will be handed over during the 25th European Conference on Few-Body Problems in Physics (this opens in a new tab) in Mainz, Germany, from July 30th to August 4th, 2023.
